End of the Road Festival 2007

Awarded "Best New Festival 2006"

The Larmer Tree once again hosted this new Festival, and we were once again involved in providing Sound to three venues.

Ecclesiastical Insurance Group

Staff Seminar 2007

Two days, four sessions

The Cheltenham Racecourse was chosen for the second year running, as venue for the annual staff day. This year, the cavernous Centaur was swapped for the more intimate feel of the Gold Cup Suite. The low ceiling provided significant spill headaches for Andy Bartlett, our Lighting Director, but by a combination of low levels, carefully shuttered profiles and barndoored fresnels, the effect was magnificent and the presentations highly successful. This Reach-Out production was meticulously managed by Richard Lienard with Ben Parker and Mark Muggeridge from E & MS organising the technical issues.

CSS provided a distributed PA to the main room and three break-away rooms; rigging of trusses, drapes and set; lighting and comms systems.

Wedding Fair

For Bonehead Productions

Five days

Another dry hire to our friends Julian and Andy at Bonehead Productions, for one of their many Wedding fairs. This generally takes the form of a quantity of lighting and radios.

The Cotswold School

Lighting installation

CSS was appointed by The Cotswold School in Bourton on the Water, to renovate its existing lighting installation as well as to install new dimmers, lighting bars and to supply a new console. Zero88 Betapack 2 dimmers were chosen to run off a Zero88 Jester 12/24 board, whilst the new bars came from Andolite. Andi Dell spent an afternoon with some of the staff and children, running through their training.

Groupe Geroud

Fruit and Veg Market Cheltenham Promenade

Once again, CSS was asked to provide outdoor sound in the trees of the Cheltenham Promenade for this regular event. We normally clad our trusty Electro-Voice Sx80 loudspeakers in waterproof jackets, and these are strapped in their flying yokes to several lamp posts around 4 meters from the ground. These are driven at 2 Ohms from a Crown MA 1200 amplifier. The system provides christmas music throughout the market as well as being able to take any voice announcements that might be necessary.

Wordley Productions 2007

TV Video Shoot for Arthur Llewellyn Jenkins Furniture Company

CSS provided a ramp of staging, covered by white carpet and skirt, erected a mock truck rear door, as well as lighting, control and operator for this shoot which took place in Cardiff. Thanks to all concerned, for what was a most enjoyable day.

Cheltenham Town Hall 2007

New Year Ceilidh

Once again, we were invited to provide sound services to the Town Hall for their annual Ceilidh. This was handled by Rob Horsell using our Meyer MSL-4 / 650P rig.

CRC Conference 2008

Satellite video conference Newcastle to London

Under the direction of E & MS Corporate's Mark Muggeridge, CSS provided Lighting to both venues and sound services to Newcastle. Seb Knowles and Mike Siracusano along with Production :av's Sam McCrea trundled north in our trusty Sprinter, whilst Lee Dreezer battled with the congestion charge and took the lighting to London.

Wiltshire Music Centre 2008

Folk and Jazz Evenings

The music at this venue seems to be settling into a regular niche for CSS and we thank Neville Mitchell who is the regular engineer here for continuing to bring us the enquiries. Although many of these productions barely fill a 16 channel MixWizard mixer, they are always good quality acts and good to do. The latest being Courtney Pine however most definitely outgrew the Mix Wiz, and took our new d&b MAX monitors out for their first gig.

Cheltenham Folk Festival 2008

4 venues this year

CSS Provided the lighting in the main Town Hall for this festival, operated by Arun Jennings. Meyer Sound FOH and our new d&b MAX wedges were provided for Veteran folk engineer  John Eeles. In the Drawing room we also provided lighting and sound for Neville Mitchell. This was a MeyerSound UPA-1P FOH with Electro-Voice Sx200 flown delays.

A Ceilidh was handled in Cheltenham College Junior on the first night by Seb Knowles and Steve Roskilly, and at Cheltenham Ladies College the second night by Lee Dreezer, Steve Roskilly and Mike Siracusano.
